We can't always stop the unexpected, and curve balls like snow, hurricanes and even transport strikes can occasionally happen. Thankfully these things disrupt our groups very rarely, but when they do, you can be sure WST's team of experts are on hand to put practical solutions in place quickly. Safety concerns

I am so impressed with WST! Our school trip to the Bay of Naples had flights booked with Monarch. I was contacted yesterday morning by Kerrie with new flight options. We picked the flights to suit us and WST booked them  immediately at no cost to our students!  All within 24 hours of the Monarch news – amazing!

Rachel could not have been more helpful and we are so grateful for everything she planned. After having to cancel our London trip the day before due to the terrorist attack, Rachel worked tirelessly with us to ensure we were able to give our children an end of primary school residential that everyone (staff, parents and children) were happy with. We cannot thank her enough. Again, we have always been impressed with WST and had 2 great residentials to London. This year they worked with us in unexpected and difficult circumstances and we were very impressed.

Following the devastating terrorist incidents of the recent weeks, parents and school have been genuinely concerned about planned visits that schools have organised. We have such a visit planned for July of this year. I felt that some parents and families could be concerned about the visit so felt that it was important to contact WST to seek their advice and guidance. On contact, the WST representative couldn’t be more helpful. They listened carefully to our concerns, provided advice both as a company and from national sources and then worked closely with us to minimise any of the concerns we had. Their target was to reduce “pavement” time and avoid the possibility of coming into contact with large crowds. This we have been able to do which has significantly appeased ourselves and our families. Their approach was extremely supportive, caring and highly professional. Forrester High School has rescheduled our dance trip this year due to resent events in London. WST has been very accommodating and worked with us. They have been very flexible with dates and contacted relevant companies to rearrange dates/events . WST has communicated with us exceptionally well and provided reassurance in order for our pupils not to miss out on this exciting experience. Our pupils are now looking forward to the rescheduled date. Forrester High School, London

Managing delays

Sandra met us at the airport and was great in helping us as we were delayed due to flight out. She helped us to check in at the hotel and then met us at the restaurant to ensure we were able to get in. During the visit if we needed to contact her she was quick to sort things out and very efficient. Saint George’s C of E School, Barcelona 

Having a flight cancelled was quite unfortunate, but WST quickly helped to find a solution. Overall, the experience was positive and the staff at WST have been at all times keen on making it easier.

Our outgoing flight was delayed and this meant that the coach at Berlin and all our activities for the first day had to be re-scheduled. Helen and Nici were extremely responsive and all the logistics had been solved by the time we got to Berlin. This was a stressful situation for us but was made much easier with their calm assistance.

WST were able to answer any queries I had especially concerning alternative channel crossings during the Calais ferry strike.

Jenny liaised with SLT at school and was fabulous in rescheduling everything due to the ferry strike. She organised another crossing and rebooked the visits all with a smile and in a professional manner. Nothing was too much trouble for her and I hope to continue working with her for many years to come! She deserves a medal or more!!

Flight was cancelled due to fire at FCO Airport. Within one hour WST had arranged alternative hotel, meal and breakfast and sent all vouchers etc. to our hotel. This was exceptional service.

Very helpful, especially when we had to fly back to Gatwick due to technical issues of the plane. Siobhan and Leanne were very helpful and supportive. We were an hour late to our destination, but youth hostel staff already we're informed about this and made arrangements that were perfect for us.

Using the 24hr assistance – excellent response when our Eurostar train was cancelled. Within an hour the ball was rolling and hotel and evening meal sorted. Educational visits were suggested and shortly after that we knew that we had seats for the following day. I was very impressed by your service.
