A Christmas pantomime plays an important part in traditional British Christmas festivities.
Performed in theatres, village halls and community centres across the UK, they bring a real sense of festive fun for all ages throughout the months of December and January.

With lots of booing and hissing of the villain and cheering for the hero, audience participation encourages confidence and social bonding, making it a great way to reward your students at the end of the winter term.

The WST team have got into the festive spirit and found some of the best Christmas pantomimes to visit throughout the UK, which are easily accessible. Oh no they’re not! Oh yes they are!

Beauty and the Beast

Bringing the classic tale of Beauty and the Beast to life on stage through a musical tale, this production is suitable for all ages and features amazing sets and costumes from brilliant beasts to pretty princess dresses.

Your pupils will watch as beautiful Snow White and her comedic seven dwarfs take on the wicked Queen in one of the most traditional fairy tales of all time. The seven dwarfs bring lots of good old fashioned laughter to this Christmas panto.

Jack and the Beanstalk

Known as Britain’s biggest pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk presents magical special effects, breath-taking musical numbers and laugh-out-loud comedy for everyone. On his adventure, Jack is joined by the comedy trio of Dame Trot, Simple Simon and Silly Billy who return by popular demand following their hilarious antics last year.
