English school tours to London and Stratford Upon Avon give pupils the opportunity to delve into the works of William Shakespeare, with Lively Action workshops designed to truly bring the Bard’s plays to life.
We offer the following fascinating English and English literature school trips:
London promises an action-packed school tour for English and English literature students alike. With plenty of interactive workshops to get involved in, pupils can immerse themselves in a WWI poetry session at the Imperial War Museum, analyse the works of Charles Dickens at the author’s house and museum, or put their own skills to the test at one of City Academy’s writing workshops. You can even pop down to Shakespeare’s Globe or the West End to see one of the plays your students are studying brought to life.
Birthplace of William Shakespeare, Stratford Upon Avon is a fantastic place for English literature students to get to grips with the Bard’s iconic plays. Workshops can be tailored to your students’ study topics, and the Royal Shakespeare Company regularly performs a number of Shakespeare’s plays throughout the season. A great way for students to enhance their understanding of the Bard’s works, you can also pay a visit to one of Shakespeare’s houses to find out even more about the world-renowned playwright.
The inspiration for some of history’s most poignant poetry, the WWI battlefields at Ypres and Somme are a must for students looking to grasp a better understanding of the events which stimulated such emotive literature. Students can walk in the footsteps of the thousands of soldiers who lost their lives on the battlefields, as well as follow individual stories through personal testimonies and videos at the In Flanders Fields Museum.
