Our residential trips

Tailor make your primary school residential trip to suit your needs and budget. Choose from 2 days to 5 days duration, specifying how many days you would like dedicated to the on-site activities and off-site excursions. You can even select from a wide range of activities, to choose what suits your students.

On-site activity packages

All YHA in-house activities are delivered by trained, DBS checked staff who are skilled at leading engaging residentials that are tailored to meet the needs of your group.
Designed to support the curriculum of subjects such as PE, Geography, Literacy and PSHE, to name a few, the activities can support all your cross-curricular needs. Activities you can choose from include orienteering, archery, fire lighting, team challenges, shelter building, river dipping, get cooking, bushcraft and even gadget design.

Discovery Activity Package

Create your own package to choose activities that support the focus for your group. For example, team challenges, shelter building and orienteering can be built into your programme to support a focus on communication. History Package

Packed with opportunities to bring to life major historical eras from the KS2 National Curriculum and gain hands-on learning experiences in authentic historical settings. Our Locations

York

Take your pupils to stay at YHA York, where they will be ideally located for a unique mix of education and adventure. Choose from a range of on-site outdoor activities from our variety of packages before taking them into the historic city of York where they can learn about the Vikings at Jorvik, discover the Victorians at York Castle Museum, and be archaeologists at DIG.
