We can help you with every stage of the booking process, from organising your transport to arranging your accommodation.
We offer the following fantastic school trips to America.
Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Immigration Museum
A fantastic study trip for students visiting New York, the Ellis Island Immigration Museum provides a fascinating insight into what life was like for the 12 million immigrants who passed through the old immigration centre. The decedents of those immigrants now account for almost half the American population, making it one of the most impactful events in American history. Students can explore the museum via a 45 minute audio tour, as well as stop off at the Iconic Statue of Liberty Monument on their journey to the island.
Kennedy Space Centre
Home to the massive 365 foot-long Saturn V rocket, the Astronaut Hall of Fame®, and the Shuttle Launch Experience, students can explore the Kennedy Space Centre and learn about the NASA’s revolutionary research into space exploration. An interactive experience involving watching 3D IMAX® films, students can even have lunch with an NASA astronaut as an optional extra and hear about what space travel is like first-hand.
The White House
The world’s most iconic political building, the White House is home to the current US President. Students can take a guided tour around the impressive building, taking in all the historical features the White House has to offer. Schools will need to apply directly to the Embassy in Washington prior to their USA student tour to gain entry.
We have a number of accommodation choices for USA school trips, with options to suit different budgets and preferences. We can find accommodation in the heart of a location if you’d rather be in amongst the action, or a little further out if you’re looking for somewhere quieter to stay. At WST, we can book your accommodation on your behalf, letting you focus on planning your itinerary.
Your students will probably be very familiar with American cuisine, although there are a few classic foods they might want to sample during their trip. From deli sandwiches and hotdogs in New York to Florida’s key lime pie, there are plenty of delicious dishes to tuck into on school trips to the USA. At WST, we can recommend and book school-friendly restaurants which are popular with students in all of our destinations.
Orlando Science Centre
Another brilliant study visit for science and technology students, the Orlando Science Centre teaches students about a number of topics through interactive activities. A fun way to fuel your students’ curiosity, the museum has four floors for your pupils to explore, with key exhibits including Our Planet, Dino Digs and NatureWorks.
The Power of Advertising with an Industry Expert
A fun opportunity for students to meet an advertising industry professional, your pupils can find out what it’s like to work on Madison Avenue, as well as discover the ins and outs of advertising. Students will spend 90 minutes with the professional, learning about the latest advertising techniques and this potential career path.
Gettysburg National Military Park
Just a short coach ride outside of Washington DC, the Gettysburg National Military Park is situated on the site of the American Civil War’s bloodiest battle. History and politics students can explore the museum and visitor centre accompanied by a battlefield guide, taking your students through the key points of the civil war.
