As well as being able to discover Paris’ rich history, this city also offers students ample opportunities to unwind and relax, whether they’re immersing themselves in the French culture or blowing off some steam at Disneyland Paris. With so much packed into one beautiful city, a school trip to Paris is sure to be one unforgettable adventure. We offer the following school trips to Paris:
The most famous landmark in the world, a trip to Paris simply wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Eiffel Tower. Designed and built by engineer, Gustave Eiffel, the tower stretches to a dizzying 342 metres high, and is the second tallest structure in France. Students can ascend the hundreds of steps to the lower and upper viewing decks, both of which offer spectacular panoramic views over the beautiful city.
Arguably offering a more impressive view than the one offered from the Eiffel Tower, the Montparnasse Tower also rewards visitors with incredible panoramic views over Paris. From a height of 200 metres, students can gaze upon the magnificent 360˚ view of the city, which also features the Eiffel Tower itself.
The largest museum on Earth, the Louvre spans a whopping 60,600 square metres, making it a must for any budding artist. Home to a vast collection of art, including the world-renowned Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo, the museum showcases everything from classical paintings to ancient sculptures. Not only will art students be able to study the wondrous artwork on show, but they’ll also get the chance to see the Louvre’s unique pyramid architecture up close.
This iconic theme park is always a magical place to visit, no matter what age you are. Disneyland Paris is home to a whole host of spellbinding attractions, with five incredible lands to explore, each with their own story to tell. You can spend a whole day in the park or you can opt for a Hopper Pass which means you can visit both the Disneyland ®Paris Park and Walt Disney Studios® Park in the same day. If you want to maximise your visit here, we can arrange meals on site for you and place you in accommodation only a short drive away.
With hotels either in the buzzing city centre or more quietly located in the outskirts, and with choices to suit all budgets and needs, we can offer you exactly the right accommodation for your visit to Paris. Each one is personally inspected to meet our high standards.
We think all tours to France should include trying authentic French cuisine. We will book tables for you at any restaurant, including traditional French restaurants. However, if your students would prefer something more familiar, we can also offer some exciting venues that they’ll already know. These restaurants have proved to be particular favourites on our school trips.
For those students who would like try a few Parisian delicacies, there are certainly a lot of delicious dishes on offer. Those with a sweet tooth should take the opportunity to sample a real French croissant and a variety of delicate macarons, while those with more of an appetite for savoury dishes need to try a croque-monsieur – an oozy grilled ham and cheese sandwich with Béchamel sauce.
The French immersion experience
A must for students studying French language, the French immersion experience is the perfect opportunity for pupils to put their speaking and listening skills to the test. Based at the European Campus Sainte Thérèse, students will be spoken to entirely in French throughout the day, be given onsite lessons and be entertained by French films during the evenings. We can also enhance your students’ learning by filling their itineraries with French speaking visits off campus.
Considered to be one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture, Notre-Dame Cathedral is also one of the largest and most famous religious buildings in the world. As you explore the majestic cathedral, be sure to look out for the stunning stained glass windows, intricate sculptures and iconic gargoyles.
Housed in a former railway station, the Musée D’Orsay is home to a vast collection of French art, boasting the largest collection of impressionist and post-impressionist masterpieces in the world. A fantastic experience for art students, the museum showcases famous works by the likes of Monet, Manet, Degas, Renoir and Cézanne, to name but a few.
