This iconic city is perfect for a one night trip so see the performance of your choice, the British Music Experience and indulge in the city's fabulous, museums, galleries, landmarks and shopping!

Explore the Albert Docks before and visiting one of Liverpool's excellent free galleries or museums

Enjoy any remaining free time at Liverpool ONE shopping district before beginning your journey back to school

Accommodation

Liverpool has a number of good quality branded hostels and  hotels which are suitable for school groups. These include the YHA, Premier Inns, Travel Lodges and a Campanile Hotel. They are all in excellent locations either in, or very close distance to the city centre.

Performance Workshops with West End Workshops 

Run by experienced professionals, our wide range cover a variety of skills and in many cases can be focused on a performance you are seeing as part of your trip. Most workshops end with a Q&A with a West End/Touring cast member. We can happily create a workshop just for you, just ask us! (90 mins unless stated).

Note by Note: A unique experience ran by a West End Musical Director as the group learn to act through your choice of song, before performing it to a cast member from the show itself!

Song and Dance: Work with a pianist and cast member from a show you are seeing, and rehearse a song & choreography to match.

West End 101: A popular and versatile workshop. Students are taught, in a fun and relaxed environment, with skills and techniques used by professional actors inspired by the themes of the show they’re seeing.

Make a Scene: Work from a scripted scene from a chosen play, book or show, and learn to bring the text to life in a truthful, imaginative way. Explore acting methods, vocal techniques and character development designed to encourage bold and creative acting choices.

Theatre Improv: Perfect for fun and high energy groups! After physical and vocal warm ups, students stay active through team building and improvisational games designed to heighten focus, creativity and sensitivity to others.

Shakespeare 2000: Looking at imagery, tempo, timing, emphasis, body language and practical presentation this workshop will breathe life into scenes from the play students are seeing or studying.

Stage Combat: Students will learn about the relationship between acting and fight choreography.  Discover how fights are choreographed and hone your collaboration skills whilst creating your own combat.

Audition Essentials: Work with a casting director to really enhance your interview techniques (2 hours).

The Director's Chair: An interactive workshop focusing on textual analysis and stage craft, examining techniques for working with actors and staging scenes (3 hours).

The British Music Experience

The newest addition to Liverpool's colourful music offering, moving to its permanent home in the first-class passenger lounge of the iconic Cunard Building.

This is a fun-packed interactive journey through popular music from the end of the second world to the present day charting musical milestones from the birth of rock and roll to the punk revolution to pop icons

The Albert Dock

The Albert Dock is a firm Liverpool favourite, a top British heritage attraction, it should be on the agenda of every visitor. Located on Liverpool's stunning waterfront, the largest collection of Grade I listed buildings in Britain is part of Liverpool's designated UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Beatles Story, Albert Dock

The Beatles Story, Albert Dock is the world’s largest permanent exhibition purely devoted to the lives and times of The Beatles. The exhibition is located on the UNESCO World Heritage site at the Albert Dock and will guide you through the music, culture and story of the band that changed the world.

Mersey Ferries

A River Explorer Cruise is a must do experience and the only way to see and enjoy Merseyside and Liverpool’s iconic waterfront and UNESCO world heritage site. Departing hourly, the 50 minute experience sails between Pier Head, Liverpool and the Wirral peninsula and a journey can be selected to suit each and every day out.

The Liverpool FC Story

At Liverpool Football Club's interactive museum, The Liverpool FC Story, visitors can discover over 120 years of LFC history and explore football, past and present, with the help of state of the art technology and never seen before displays.

Also at the museum, visitors can take a tour through the Halls of Fame. To enhance the experience, every visitor is provided with a multimedia handset. there's interactive games and activities including 'place a penalty' where they can take a penalty at the European Cup final!
