We offer the following unforgettable school trips to Europe:

Top Cities

Paris

The largest museum in the world, the Louvre’s extensive art collection boasts a number of critically acclaimed works, including the likes of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo. Situated on the Right Bank of the Seine in Paris, budding artists can take the time to explore the wealth of history and art hidden within the museum. With around 38,000 objects on display, students can expect to spend a couple of hours taking in all the Louvre’s treasures.

Geneva

A must-visit for students with a passion for science and physics, CERN is home to some of the world’s most powerful particle accelerators. Otherwise known as the European Organisation for Nuclear Research, scientists at CERN probe into the fundamental structure of the universe with the aim of answering some of life’s big questions. Students who travel to Geneva will learn about Higgs Boson and the role of CERN, and will be able to explore the biggest physics laboratory on Earth.

Rome

Euro 6

European study tours to Rome wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the Colosseum. The largest amphitheatre of the Roman era, the Colosseum once had the capacity to hold between 50,000 and 80,000 spectators. Students can tour the ancient structure while learning about Rome’s blood-thirsty history, delving into what life must have been like in Roman society.

Europe Accommodation

Our expert travel agents at WST can give you advice on accommodation in all our destinations. We have a great choice of accommodation for all our school trips to Europe, whether you prefer to be in the heart of a destination, or in slightly quieter areas, further out. Whatever your students’ needs, we can work with you to find the right accommodation for you.

Hidden Gems

The Topography of Terror, Berlin

Tucked away in the heart of Berlin, the Topography of Terror offers a wealth of information for students studying the events of World War II. Located on the site of the former Gestapo headquarters, students can make their way around the detailed information boards. The museum hosts material on everything from the treatment of Jews during the Nazi regime, to what happened to the leading Nazi political figures after the war came to a close.

Ruins of Herculaneum, Bay of Naples

Euro 7

Less well-known than the city of Pompeii, the ruins of Herculaneum also provide a fascinating insight into the lives of those who lived in Italy nearly 2,000 years ago. Destroyed when Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD, the city was impeccably preserved under the volcanic ash. Herculaneum was actually a wealthier city than Pompeii, and students can observe a number of elaborate buildings as they explore the ruins.

Salvador Dali museums, Barcelona

A fantastic opportunity for art and design students visiting Barcelona, the Salvador Dali museums offer pupils the chance to study Dali’s iconic artistic style first-hand. The Gala Dali House in Púbol and Dali’s residence in Portlligat both provide a unique insight into how Dali lived, worked and where he drew his inspiration from. At WST, we can organise a coach trip for your students to study the museums during one day of your tour.
