Ultimate School Trip Winners

20^th March: Pupils from nine schools across the UK were celebrating today, after finding out they have won a national competition which means they will be heading on Jet2holidays’ Ultimate School Trip to Sol Katmandu Park & Resort in Majorca this April!

The pupils have won their place on the trip, run by Jet2holidays and school travel company WST Travel, after devising and creating competition entries in response to a challenge posed by Jet2holidays which was to produce a promotional piece for Sol Katmandu Park & Resort. After an enormous amount of entries were received, 45 schools were shortlisted across nine regions (each region representing Jet2.com and Jet2holidays’ nine UK bases), and entered into a public vote.

After thousands of votes were counted up, the winners have been revealed as:

• Newburn Manor Primary (Newcastle)
• Waterfoot Primary (Manchester)
• Tirlebrook Primary (London Stansted)
• St Lukes CE Primary (Leeds Bradford)
• Loudon Montgomery Primary (Glasgow)
• Canal View Primary (Edinburgh)
• Southwark Primary (East Midlands)
• St Paul’s C of E (Birmingham)
• St Patrick’s Primary (Belfast International)

The winning entries range from a ‘Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ rap through to a Stop-Motion promotional video.

Each winning class, along with their teachers, will now get to spend a long weekend (Friday 20^th April – Sunday 22^nd April 2018) at Sol Katmandu Park & Resort in Majorca where they will take part in fun educational workshops with celebrity hosts including Dick & Dom and Diversity’s Jordan Banjo. The workshops will focus on science, history, drama and crafts, as well as giving pupils all the excitement you would expect from a school trip overseas. 

In addition to an educational trip of a lifetime, the pupils will get to experience a range of one-off memories such as a VIP send off at the airport, a welcome dinner with celebrities, and the ultimate school disco and show.

The schools have also won £1,000 worth of school equipment vouchers – as did all of the 45 shortlisted schools.
