School Trip Ideas For After Exams

12 May 2014

Your students will be working extremely hard at the moment preparing for those all-important end of year exams and at WST we couldn’t think of a better way to reward both teachers and students than planning a post-exam treat trip.

To save teachers time, this week’s WST blog picks out some of the best ideas for end-of-exams enrichment trips to London.

Treat Your Students with Sport

Filled with memories of the UK’s recent sporting achievements, the 2012 Olympic sites make an inspiring trip destination for pupils. Various areas of the 2012 Olympic Park are now open for guided tours, so students can re-live the celebrations of 2012 and see the very sites where Team Great Britain picked up numerous Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.

School Trips and West End Performances

If sport isn’t quite your class’ thing, why not take pupils for a trip to London’s West End, for a drama-filled end to the school year. The area’s selection of theatres offers something for every age group, from children’s classics like Matilda the Musical, to the touching tales of War Horse and Les Misérables.

Live Action School Trips

For classes that are feeling brave, the famous London Dungeons turns 1,000 years of history into a trip full of laughs, scares, theatre, storytelling and special effects. With 18 interactive shows, 20 live actors and 2 underground rides, the London Dungeon offers a day of frightening fun for everyone.

To end the trip in style, Planet Hollywood provides an exciting dining experience for your pupils, inspired by the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. Along with its extensive American themed menu, you can enjoy your food in one of the many themed areas of the restaurant, such as the Bond room or the Cabana room, surrounded by Hollywood memorabilia.
