Brand new range of day trips for primary schools!

13 October 2020

We asked if you wanted to start planning a school trip again and you answered with a resounding YES! That got us thinking... We knew we needed to re-visit the products and services we offer to ensure that we prioritise the well-being and safety of our groups; especially the services we offer for primary schools.

It is growing even more apparent that the well-being of primary pupils is suffering because they can’t go on school trips and bond with their peers. With this in mind, we have developed a brand-new range of day trips which are close to home, so you get to embark on an adventure outside of the classroom, in a friendly and familiar environment.

Plan and book with confidence

Before you start booking, some of you may be wondering is my money safe if we aren’t able to travel, and we would like to reassure you by introducing our Covid-19 promise. It has been carefully created to ensure that should your plans change due to Covid-19 guidelines, you will not lose any money. You can also benefit from our flexible booking policy which means you can move the dates around at no extra cost. Read our covid-19 promise to you.

Take them out into the wild

With so much social distancing what better way to encouraging bonding than with a trip to an outdoor activity centre? Most activity centres offer great team building activities like rock climbing, zip wiring, raft building and canoeing. There are lots of centres around the UK, however, we have carefully selected some of the best ones for you to visit including:

  • Treetop Trek in Manchester
  • Woodlands Adventure in Birmingham
  • Beamish Wild Tree Top Adventure in Northumberland

Spark their curiosity about the history of slavery

There has never been a better time than right now to teach our future generation about the history of slavery. Encourage them to ask questions with a visit to the International Slavery Museum in Liverpool. Located in the Merseyside Maritime Museum, the International Slavery Museum is a campaigning museum that actively engages with contemporary human rights issues. They address ignorance and challenge intolerance, building partnerships with museums, communities and organisations that share their vision.

Introduce your pupils to a new culture

You do not have to travel far to immerse your pupils in a new culture. We know plenty of areas which are rich in heritage and closer than you think, starting with North Yorkshire. The monastic ruins of Whitby Abbey dominate the headland and offer fantastic views overlooking the historic resort. You can either book an expert-led, interactive, hands-on, and immersive Discovery Visit or download the Teachers' Kit for a self-led visit.

Brand new primary day trips from £61

Most of our day trips include a couple of exciting visits which mean you can really make the most of your day. We even have a two-centre trip which combines the best of both cities. Choose from one of these fantastic day trips:

Value for money

Our new range of primary day trips start from as little as £61 per person which includes the cost of your transport and your visits. We wanted to keep prices affordable and ensure that you get the most value for your money.
